With this in mind, Healthy Place To Work has been busy working on a new solution for driving sustainable high performance within your organisation.

Our unique methodology draws heavily on the research of sociologist and academic Aaron Antonovsky, whose work delved into the interplay between stress, health and general well-being. Antonovsky famously stated:

“We are coming to understand health not as the absence of disease, but rather as the process by which individuals maintain their sense of coherence (i.e. sense that life is comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful) and ability to function in the face of changes in themselves and their relationships with their environment.”

This led to Aaron Antonovsky coining the term ‘Salutogenesis’ – an approach to human health that examines the factors contributing to the promotion and maintenance of physical and mental well-being rather than a disease with a particular focus on the coping mechanisms of individuals which help preserve health despite stressful conditions.

This work on salutogenesis shaped our approach, leading us to understand that the intricacies of the salutogenic model of health can empower individuals to evolve and make themselves stronger across multiple dimensions – physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

That is why we have created the new innovative program STRONGER, a new programme for 2024 to enable organisations to measure, monitor and manage the health of their workforce/workplace.

The STRONGER program aims to make both organisations and individuals stronger in all aspects. What sets this program apart is its flexibility, enabling us to tailor its components to match the unique needs of any organisation. We ensure that the STRONGER program is not just a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather a finely tuned instrument for sustainable growth and development in your organisation.

Organisations that undertake the STRONGER program will gain access to the trove of data we have accumulated on the Healthy Place To Work reporting platform, which provides those with access to create their own reports and carry out data comparisons and benchmark analyses. Equipped with this knowledge, organisations can make informed decisions that fuel their evolution and propel them towards their desired goals.

We want you to have your finger on the pulse of your organisation. We believe that by establishing a systematic framework for measuring, monitoring and managing the health of your workforce and workplace, your organisation can lay the foundation for cultivating a sustainable performance-driven culture that both endures and thrives in the face of challenges and opportunities.
